Anti-Racism Training

General Convention resolution B049, passed in 2000, mandated anti-racism training for all active clergy, including those who do supply work and who may officiate at off-site weddings and funerals.

Since then our diocese has worked with The Episcopal Church (TEC) to determine which training programs would best address the needs of our situation here in RI. Many of the programs TEC reccomends last three days, but we have been able to consolidate the sessions into a comprehensive two day program to make it easier for you to fit this important training into your busy schedule.  At the moment we are only offering this training for clergy, but we hope to eventually offer it for lay leadership as well

NOTE: The training is mandated by The Episcopal Church, for all active Clergy. Some of you may have received training in another diocese or in seminary. If you have, your anti-racism training certificate of completion must be on file in the Bishop’s Office prior to the date of the next diocesan training day.
