Diocesan Youth Events

These activities provide an opportunity for youth in our larger parishes and smaller parishes to meet and join together for fun, formation, prayer and mission.

Diocesan Youth 30 Hour Famine

“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40.

Each winter the Diocese of RI holds its annual 30 hour famine, a national fast program sponsored by World Vision to raise money and awareness among youth, of world hunger. This year’s will be January 30-31

How does the 30 hour famine work?

  • You Find sponsors. $1 feeds 1 child for 1 day in many countries, so you can make a big difference.
  • Stop eating by midnight Friday
  • Gather at noon on Saturday for fun activities and a sleep over.
  • We will break-fast together Sunday morning

Diocesan Youth Nightwatch

Nightwatch At the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC is a time for meeting people from other places and different denominations; discovering the Cathedral, and the richness of the Christian heritage embodied in its building and ministry; and having a quality worship experience that recalls us to the one who is Savior of all.
