Eucharistic Visitor Training

What is a Licensed Eucharistic Visitor?

Following a Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, a Licensed Eucharistic Visitor can take the sacrament consecrated at the Celebration to members of the congregation who, by reason of illness or infirmity, were unable to be present at the Celebration.

Requirements:

• Endorsement to enroll in this training by your Rector/Vicar
• You must Complete a Declaration of Intent form and mail it prior to the training to
  The Diocese of RI 275 N. Main street, Providence RI 02903
• Engage in practical training in the parish under the direction of the Rector/Vicar
• Successfully complete two workshops: Safe Church and Eucharistic Visitor

The Bishop will grant Eucharistic Visitor Licenses during Advent. This license is valid for a period of three (3) years, through Advent of the third year.
