2015 Task Force
The 220th Convention of the Diocese of Rhode Island in October 2010 called for a five-year process of strategic planning, involving a review of our existing resources missions and structures in order to make a recommendation that will address the needs for future mission and ministry of the Diocese by the 2015 Convention.
The 2015 Task Force was created to facilitate this process. The task force operates outside of diocesan staff and is composed of one member from Diocesan Council, one member from the Standing Committee, one member from Congregational Development Commission, one member from the Finance Commission, one Bishop’s appointee and additional recruited members that represent each deanery and maintain a balance of clergy and laity.
The 2015 Task Force makes an interim report of its work to Diocesan Council at least twice each year and annually to Diocesan Convention. |
