Parish By-Laws

A Parish in the Diocese of Rhode Island is governed by the Canons of the Episcopal Church, the Rhode Island Non-Profit Corporation Act and the Canons of the Diocese of Rhode Island By-Laws provide for the regulation and management of a parish within the construct of the canons and the Rhode Island statutes. Sample Parish By-Laws are under revision and will be available here soon.

The Bishop is Rector of the eleven (11) designated Missions of the diocese, which are governed by Canon 9 of the Diocesan Canons.
