The Central Deanery

The Central Deanery includes Providence and environs, which is slightly north but in a central area of the state. It also includes the Chaplaincy at RISD/Brown University. The deanery has a great deal of diversity comprising rich and poor, old families and new immigrants, suburbanites and city dwellers.

The Hispanic Ministry meets at El Mesias Church, at 271 North Main Street in Providence (The Cathedral of St. John) under leadership of the Diocesan Hispanic Missioner The Rev. Jose Roberts.
