Parishes Listed by Deanery/Region

Here in the Diocese of Rhode Island we have a parish every 8 miles, and some parishes are less than a mile apart! Because so many of our parishes are neighbors, the Diocese of Rhode Island is organized into regional groups called deaneries. Each deanery holds meetings and sponsors events to help its parishes, missions, and other ministries better live out our diocesan mission to “Live in Christ…Transform the world.”

All of Aquidneck Island, including Tiverton and Little Compton

The East Bay Deanery
The Northeastern coast of Narragansett Bay, from East of Providence down to Bristol

The Narragansett Deanery 
Southwestern Rhode Island, including Block Island and Jamestown

The West Bay Deanery 
Central Rhode Island, West of Narragansett Bay
