ECC SUMMER CAMP 2008

Scholarship Money is available. If you have any questions regarding registration or our summer camp program, please call Registrar Barbara Sidla in the ECC office at 401-568-4055 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

What's new this year? Summer, 2008, has a new schedule and new activities! Archery, boating and fishing join the always popular activities offered at ECC. Each camp week includes daily worship, work, themed group activities, free-time, chaplain's time, swimming, creative evening programs and time with friends.

Summerstart 2008: June 22nd to 27th - Cancelled
Fee: $300
For young people entering grades 9-12
Start your summer off right here at ECC! Get back to the woods to enjoy the beauty of God's creation while working and playing in the fresh air. Morning work projects, followed by canoeing, swimming, archery and more -- entrenched in laughter will build community during Summerstart 2008!


Music and Creative Arts Camp: June 29th to July 5th*
Fee: $310
For young people entering grades 8-12
We'll once again "make a joyful noise to the Lord" at Music and Creative Arts Camp. Now is the time to explore developing talents you already have or discover new ones. Choices will include drama, creative writing, art, rock band, painting, dance, singing, photography and more. There will also be time for morning work projects, sports and lots of fun activities.
* July 4th "Music Camp Madness" For the parents, legal guardians and siblings (under age of 18) of our campers are welcome!!


Teen Camp: July 6th to 11th
Fee: $300

For young people entering grades 7-9
NEW THIS YEAR: Explore the trails of ECC. If you choose this option, bring your backpack and experience two nights of camping on the shores of Echo lake, cooking meals over a camp fire and hiking along our very own trails. You will be accompanied by an experienced leader and counselors. We will provide the tents. If camping out under the stars isn't your thing, there will be plenty to do this week including guest speakers and activities covering a wide-range of topics. Creative worship and work projects each morning will provide opportunities for team building and making new friends.

Camp for Older Boys: July 13th to 18th
Fee: "$300
(fee includes allowance for camp store)
For boys entering grades 5-6
It's the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing AND at ECC! Each day will be filled with different ways we can work and play together in teams. Swimming, arts and crafts, sports and Chapel are part of each day. You can choose to go shoot archery, go snorkeling, canoeing or try something new during "Boy's Choice". You are certain to have a good time at Older Boys Camp.



Older Girls Camp: July 20th to 25th
Fee: $300
(fee includes allowance for camp store)
For girls entering grades 5-6
You Go Girl! is the theme for this week. You can be anything you want to be -- we'll explore the possibilities. There will be a masquerade ball to end the week. You will travel to acitivities with your cabin group and counselor. There'll be lots of activities for everyone at this Older Girls Camp! Swimming, arts and crafts, sports and Chapel are part of each day. Join the fun of Older Girls Camp!


Conference Week: July 27th to August 1st
Fee: $300

For young people entering grades 9 - 12
The Conference Week includeds lots of opporutnities for learning new things and for group discussion. Activities are varied and discussions are led by the creative and interesting members of our visiting staff. Our week culimates with a beautiful worship service that everyone helps to plan and present. Swimming, canoeing, sports and wrok projects round out our days filled with friends and fun!


Younger Children's Camp: August 4th to 8th
Fee: $300
(fee includes allowance for camp store)
For Boys and Girls entering grades 2-4

What fun it will be to go to overnight camp! Daily activities with your counselor and cabin group include arts and crafts, Chapel, sports, swimming, caneoing and games everyday. This "short week" provides the perfect first-time camp experience for younger children.


Summers End: August 10th - 15th
Fee: $300
For young people entering Grades 7-12

If you missed out on Music Camp or simply had a great time, this week will be your second chance at a smaller version. We will combine work projects in the morning with creative workshops in the afternoon. Bring your instrument, your voice, whatever your talent and help us end the summer on a HIGH note!
