As the largest non-Catholic denomination in the state of
Rhode Island, the diocese plays a leadership role in the Rhode
Island State Council of Churches.
The Ecumenical Officer of the diocese is the Rev. William Fraatz. He coordinates dialogue
with other denominations as well as overseeing various committees dealing with
public policy and inter-faith concerns.
