Diocesan Convention 2019

Our 229th Diocesan Convention will be held Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, 2019, at St. Luke’s Church in East Greenwich.

Convention will begin on Friday evening with our Convention Eucharist at 7 p.m., followed by a dessert reception. Convention’s business session will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, again at St. Luke’s Church.

Nominations for Elections and Submission of Resolutions

If you are proposing a resolution, please follow the directions on the following form:

Please download, print and complete all forms according to the directions and return to The Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island, 275 North Main St. Providence, RI 02903 or a properly signed and completed Resolution or Nomination form may be scanned and emailed to:  convention@episcopalri.org 
All forms, however delivered, are due on September 24, 2019.

Pre-Convention Meetings 
There will be two pre-convention meetings to discuss proposed resolutions and the 2019 diocesan budget. 

  • Monday, September 16, at 7 p.m. at St. Georges/San Jorge, Address: 12 Clinton Street, Central Falls, RI 02863
  • Thursday, September 19, at 7 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, Address: 370 Main Street, Wakefield, RI 02879

Convention registration will open on October 1, 2019. You will be sent an invitation by email to register.  If for some reason you cannot attend convention, please pass this and subsequent emails along to the alternate who will be going in your place.

A second packet will be sent by email to you just prior to Convention, containing all the materials you will need to print and bring with you on the day of Convention.
